How we choose products
Every The Kitchen Fit guide is written for a specific situation: a stove type, a kitchen size, a household or a cooking style. That focus shapes everything below.
What we look at
- Fit for the situation. Will it work on that stove, in that space, for that cook? A product that’s great in general but wrong for the reader’s kitchen doesn’t make the list.
- Manufacturer details. Specs, materials, oven-safe temperatures, care instructions and compatibility notes, straight from the maker.
- Owner experience. We look for patterns in verified owner reviews, especially problems that show up after months of use, such as warping, chipping or failing handles.
- Trade-offs. Every pick lists what to watch out for, so you can rule it out quickly if it doesn’t suit you.
What we don’t do
- We don’t claim to have tested a product unless we say so clearly in that guide.
- We don’t accept payment from brands to include or rank products.
- We don’t let commission rates decide which product wins a category.
Keeping guides current
Products change, go out of stock or get replaced by new models. We review guides regularly, and the “Updated” date at the top of each guide shows when it was last checked.
